Roddric W. Sims specializes in working with those want to increase their success by adopting an entrepreneurial mindset. His goals are to help his clients maximize their potential in their small business, career and leadership endeavors by identifying and overcoming roadblocks to their personal and professional success. He has fondly been dubbed by his clients as the “Biz Reality Coach” due to his pragmatic and direct approach to getting to the core of their problems and holding them accountable to their action plans. Roddric proudly states, “Not only do I help my clients find success, I help them define their success.”

Over his 20+ year professional career he has worked in varying roles related to sales, customer service, management and recruiting for a Fortune 50 company. During the last 15 years he has had the opportunity to coach over 3,000 aspiring entrepreneurs in group and one on one sessions with topics including but not limited to business plan development, marketing and talent management. Roddric is also the founder of the Sims Coaching Group which is a coaching network that provides coaching, consulting and community for those with an entrepreneurial mindset. These experiences are the foundation for his 3 books, “The 4 “E”s of Entrepreneurship: Exposure, Economics, Environment and Execution”, “Evolve & Elevate: 8 Success Strategies for Small Business Owners” and “The Profit Pathway”. In addition, he has spent the last 5+ years in higher education providing coaching and leadership for student support units.

Roddric is a graduate of the University of Illinois – Chicago where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and also has received an MBA with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. He has earned the designation of Certified Coach through the Coach Training Alliance (CTA). He also currently holds the following professional designations and degrees: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Management (AIM), Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS). He is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, and The 100 Black Men of Chicago.
